Brasil FurFest Regulations

Brasil FurFest wishes to continue to be a place with a friendly and respectful atmosphere for members of the furry community and their supporters. This regulation is the guarantee that we all seek a problem-free environment, whose rules set out here are strictly followed by the organization.

The regulation may undergo further changes, with participants tacitly accepting it and committing to follow the rules set out therein.


BRASIL FURFEST 2025 REGULATION

SECTION 1 – EVENT

1.1 – Brasil FurFest is a private non-profit charitable event in convention format, held by the Association of Artists and Appreciators of Anthropomorphic Arts, CNPJ 49.037.057/0001-54, which brings together lovers of anthropomorphic arts, also known as “furries ”, for a weekend of activities and interaction, as well as the respective promotion of this type of art. Brasil FurFest aims to raise funds for charity in support of the SOS Vida Pet Litoral Social Project, which helps protectors maintain shelters for stray animals in Baixada Santista.

1.2 – As a condition of being part of Brasil FurFest, attendees tacitly agree with these general regulations and other specific regulations published on the event website.

1.3 – This regulation will be applied to the common areas of the hotel and other places where activities related to Brasil FurFest are being carried out.

1.4 – Brasil FurFest is a non-profit event and is carried out by a group of volunteer organizers, who in these regulations will be called “staff”.

1.5 – Brasil FurFest is open to those who pay the collaboration fee (registration) and who will be called “attendees” here. During the entire Brasil FurFest period and in all non-public access places allocated by the hotel to the event, attendees must at all times wear their identification credential, which in these regulations will be called “badge”, and identification bracelets.

1.6 – For the purposes of this regulation, those who are 18 years old or older at midnight on July 25, 2025 will be considered adults and those who are 17 years old or younger at midnight on July 25, 2025 will be considered minors. day.

1.7 – Activities that are contests with a winner, or that have some type of prize, are merely recreational and informal, seeking the integration of all attendees.

1.7.a – The trophies and/or other prizes awarded have only emotional value and do not represent any kind of commercial value, nor can they be exchanged for any amount of money.

SECTION 2 – RIGHTS

General provisions

2.1 – All attendees who have paid the registration fee or have been invited by Brasil FurFest staff are entitled, under the terms of clause 1.5:

2.1.a – Free access to the hotel convention center on Friday (07/25/2025)– after the opening of the event, according to the schedule), Saturday (07/26/2025) and Sunday (07/27/2025), as well as as non-public spaces allocated by the hotel to Brasil Furfest (see 1.5), upon presentation of a badge and identification bracelet;

2.1.b – Receive a full copy of these regulations, and receive other gifts according to the type of your registration; It is

2.1.c – Participate in activities promoted by Brasil FurFest.

2.2. All Brasil FurFest attendees, staff and employees have a mutual right and duty to treat each other with kindness. In case of any problem regarding the treatment, the incident must be communicated immediately to any staff member.

2.3 – All attendees, regardless of age, have the right to be accompanied by a father and/or mother without charging a collaboration fee for them, who will be included in the “accompanying” category, as described in clause 2.9.

2.3.a – In the case of minors who do not live with their parents, the companion may be the guardian or tutor, upon presentation of the custody agreement that has public faith (original document and/or certified copy of the original).

2.3.b – The companion benefit is exclusive to fathers, mothers and legal guardians. The attendee’s other relatives are not entitled to this benefit;

2.3.c – In cases where the attendee is a minor, he or she must be accompanied by a legal guardian or person duly authorized to do so, including but not limited to relatives who are not the attendee’s father or mother;

2.3.d – Brasil FurFest will not, under any circumstances, allow the presence of minors on site without the presence of any of the people indicated in clause 2.3.c;

2.3.e – Under no circumstances will minor attendees or their companions be allowed entry into the convention center or any of the activities intended for adults that will take place from midnight on 07/27/2025 (Sunday).

2.4 – Brasil FurFest authorizes in advance the use of all material made by attendees during the course of the activities promoted by it for use aimed at free dissemination for non-commercial purposes, in accordance with clause 1.1 of this regulation, as long as it is duly credited and identified the edition of Brasil FurFest in which that material was collected.

2.4.a – For use for commercial purposes or personal financial gain, the use of this material will only be permitted provided that it is previously authorized by the staff (via a prior email sent to [email protected]) and that the final product appears credits to the source of the material.

2.4.b – The recording and/or subsequent showing of lectures and workshops must be authorized by the speakers before they begin.

2.5 – Parents or guardians with proof of custody agreement or relatives authorized by the staff, with authorization from the parents of minor attendees, have the right and duty to accompany minor attendees during Brasil FurFest, under the condition of “accompanier( s)”, being exempt from the collaboration fee (registration), as long as they are registered within the deadline stipulated by the staff.

2.5.a – Companions are only entitled to the “companion” badge, which only grants the right to access the hotel’s convention center and the fursuit lounge, if the attendee is a fursuiter.

2.5.b. – If the companion is accompanying a attendee who has purchased a “VIF” experience package or higher, they have the right to access the “VIF Lounge” environment and the VIF lunch environment to be held at the “O Lagar” Restaurant, however without the right to the meals included in the package, unless the companion decides to bear the cost of the meal.

2.5.b – Companions will be granted the same discounts offered to other attendees in stores, restaurants and establishments affiliated with Brasil FurFest and officially announced during the activities, on the internet or on official channels.

2.5.c – Without prejudice to the right to enter and remain at the location of the activity, companions do not have the right to participate in interactive activities, receive prizes, appear in official photos and participate in any activities related to Brasil FurFest, except, eventually, if the staff announce otherwise.

Brasil FurFest rights

2.6 – Brasil FurFest may use, free of charge and without prior communication, all material produced by attendees, guests or accredited persons during the activities carried out by it, in the event areas.

2.6.a – This right of assignment of use extends to all material produced during activities carried out in an external environment, such as the Fursuit Parade and the super sponsors’ lunch.

2.6.b – Brasil FurFest will guarantee the authors due credit for the material produced, if it is used in accordance with clause 2.7.

2.7 – Brasil FurFest staff will produce videos and photos with attendees before, during and eventually after the event. attendees tacitly and irrevocably agree to the use of images by Brasil FurFest for an indefinite period, in a non-onerous, irrevocable and irreversible manner, unless expressed through a request to the staff at the time of accreditation or before the start of the event.

SECTION 3 – DUTIES

3.1 – All attendees undertake to follow the rules of this regulation and to maintain their posture in accordance with the common rules of decorum and common sense, in addition to all the rules for use of the venue that will host Brasil FurFest (Sheraton Santos Hotel, Restaurante O Lagar and surrounding areas) and the relevant national legislation.

3.1.a – All attendees who are guests of the Sheraton Santos Hotel must read and agree to the Regulations for Holding Meetings in Rooms, in addition to signing the Term of Responsibility and Commitment at the time of accreditation and using the guest bracelet throughout the duration of the event.

3.2 – All attendees must respect and pay attention to the warnings given by the staff.

3.4 – All attendees must remain presentable during Brasil FurFest, maintaining minimum standards of personal hygiene, in order to avoid complaints from others.

3.5 – All attendees are responsible for their belongings in all locations where activities will be carried out throughout the duration of Brasil FurFest.

3.5.a – Abandoned belongings found at activity sites must be delivered directly to the Sheraton Santos Hotel reception. Brasil FurFest does not have “lost and found” services nor does it have any responsibility for objects lost during the event.

3.6 – Attendees undertake to wear the badge and identification bracelets throughout Brasil FurFest.

3.6.a – Badges can and will be requested by staff and security guards at any time in areas where Brasil FurFest is taking place.

3.6.b – Failure to present/display the badge or bracelets when accessing the spaces reserved for the event will be considered “absence of credential”.

3.6.c – Hiding the badge under clothing is not permitted and will be considered “lack of badge”, without prejudice to possible sanctions if the act is repeated.

3.6.d – The staff reserves the right to deny entry or remove attendees in all cases of “absence of a badge”.

3.6.e – Identification bracelets must not be tampered with under any circumstances, and will not be replaced by Brasil Furfest staff.

3.7 – Physical contact between attendees can only occur with the consent of both; otherwise, it is mandatory to respect other people’s space.

Prohibitions

3.8 – Brasil FurFest will not tolerate:

I – Any forms of harassment or intolerance (moral, physical, prejudice, intimidation, not respecting other people’s space);

II – Physical or verbal violence;

III – Persecution of attendees and/or staff;

IV – Clothing that leaves the attendee’s private parts visible;

V – Material damage to material and/or locations related to Brasil FurFest (convention center, hotel facilities, partner establishments and public furniture on the path of the fursuit parade).

3.9– According to the rules of the Sheraton Santos hotel, it is not permitted to consume food and drinks in the Convention Center rooms, except for bottled mineral water and items purchased in the hotel’s bars and restaurants.

3.9.a – The caput excludes people who have a proven medical condition and are informed at the time of accreditation (those who need to eat at certain times, for example) or if the staff announce otherwise.

3.10 – The other rules of conduct and dress will be set out in separate regulations available on the Brasil FurFest website, on the cell phone application and posted in printed material at the event.

3.11 – It is strictly prohibited to take photos or record videos in activities aimed at adults on the fourth and fifth floor of the Sheraton Santos Hotel convention center, including the elevator hall, on July 27, 2025 between 0:00 and 3:00.

3.11.a – Due to the prohibition in clause 3.10, Brasil FurFest recommends not carrying cameras, camcorders and other photo and/or video equipment during such events, in addition to not using cell phones in a way that suggests that you are taking photographs or filming.

3.11.b – In case of reasonable suspicion or confirmation that a particular participant is violating the rule in clause 3.11, he or she will be immediately expelled from the event and consequently banned from future editions of Brasil FurFest.

SECTION 4 – PROCEDURES

General provisions

4.1 – In case of non-compliance with any of the rules set out in this regulation or in any of the specific regulations, everyone involved in the event will be held responsible.

4.2 – attendees who report feeling unwell, who visibly overdo the alcohol intake and/or who are in a state of incapacitation will be taken to their rooms and only the establishment’s civil firefighter and/or a SAMU ambulance can be called by the hotel.

4.3 – Any attendee caught in possession of drugs, narcotic substances or other substances not permitted by law, nor with their respective registrations missing from the competent bodies, will have their names communicated to the police authority so that they can take legal action, as well as being immediately expelled from the event.

4.4 – If you witness any situation of non-compliance with the rules or have any doubts regarding these regulations, the attendee undertakes to immediately contact any staff (protecting anonymity), under penalty of application of clause 4.4.a. below:

4.4.a – Brasil FurFest disclaims any responsibility for the investigation of facts and occurrences reported to staff after the end of activities, and will not apply any type of punishment in this case.

4.5 – In case of excessive noise, in any location, only one warning will be given by the staff. The second warning will be made by hotel employees accompanied by police authorities.

SECTION 5 – PENALTIES

5.1 – Failure to comply with the rules will be punished by adopting the following procedure:

I – In the first incident, a verbal warning will be provided to the attendee;

II – In the second incident (not necessarily the same non-compliance), a written warning will be issued, identifying two witnesses to the non-compliance;

III – In the third incident, the attendee will be immediately expelled from the Brasil FurFest to which they are registered and, depending on the severity of the non-compliance, with a subsequent decision on permanent ban.

5.2 – Any actions that cause interference with the progress of Brasil FurFest will result in the immediate expulsion of the attendees involved and, in more serious cases, the summoning of police authorities to draw up a police report, notably:

I – That affect the relationship between attendees and/or between attendees and staff;

II – That cause discomfort or embarrassment to attendees and/or staff; It is

III – That cause material damage to the hotel and/or places that host Brasil FurFest activities

5.3 – If activity is found that notably has the aim of tarnishing or causing financial damage to Brasil FurFest, whether before, during or after its execution, it will allow the staff to deny or cancel the registration made in the current edition, and the Permanent ban depending on the severity of the damage.

5.4 – In case of infractions committed by minors, parents, guardians and/or legal guardians appointed by the parents will be held responsible and punished together with the minor, in accordance with this regulation.

5.5 – If one or more attendees cause damage to the hotel and/or areas where Brasil FurFest is held and the staff is notified of this occurrence, all attendees involved will be held financially responsible for the damage caused and summarily expelled from the venue.

5.6 – attendees who fail to comply with these rules will be expelled from Brasil FurFest and, subsequently, may be permanently banned from Brasil FurFest, as judged by the staff.

SECTION 6 – FINAL PROVISIONS

6.1 – Occurrences not covered by this or other Brasil Furfest regulations will be subject to decision by the staff, following common sense and current legislation;

6.2 – This regulation may undergo changes until the date of Brasil FurFest. attendees will receive a copy of the final version of these regulations;

6.3 – If you have any questions about this regulation, please immediately consult the Brasil FurFest staff;

6.4 – This regulation will come into force immediately after publication on the official website and Brasil FurFest pages on social media.

RULES OF CONDUCT AND DRESS CODE

1. General rules of conduct and dress

1.1 – The use of fursuits, kigurumis, costumes and cosplays are permitted (as long as they respect decorum and common sense), in the convention center and in all public access areas of the hotel where Brasil FurFest activities will be carried out.

1.2 – It is mandatory for everyone, in all public access areas, to wear clothing that covers private parts and prevents them from being visible even if covered by some type of fabric, as determined by current legislation.

1.3 – The use of heavy makeup and/or body paint is prohibited without prior consent/permission from the staff, so that measures can be taken to avoid damage to the property of the hotel and other attendees.

1.4 – Fetish costumes and/or demonstrations of fetishes are prohibited, even if they are just part of the composition or the entirety of a costume or costume.

1.5 – Costumes or objects that make racist, phobic, sexual, religious, creed, ideological or political references are prohibited.

1.6 – Any types of costumes, clothing and accessories that suggest, show or simulate, with designs or relief, intimate parts or, even, that have a sexual connotation are strictly prohibited.

1.7 – Collars and harnesses are allowed, but never combined with a leash, chain or any other similar object used to restrict mobility.

1.8 – Anthropomorphic masks are permitted as long as they are unaccompanied by other accessories related to fetish practice.

1.9 – Underwear may not be worn in such a way that it is visible or partially visible, or even visible through the item of clothing.

1.10 – Knitwear, jumpsuits, zentais and other full-body clothing are only permitted if it is not possible to view the private parts or their outline.

1.11 – It is prohibited to display photos or any graphic material with human or anthropomorphic pornography (yiff) in public places, in the areas designated for Brasil FurFest and in the furry bazaar.

1.12 – Sexual behavior or behavior that goes beyond the limit of public display of affection is prohibited.

1.13 – Physical contact between adults and minors that goes beyond the limit of a friendly/fraternal hug or greeting kisses is prohibited.

1.14 – Firearms, pressure weapons, bladed weapons, brass knuckles or any utensil that causes injury to others are completely prohibited.

1.14.a – As determined by the Brazilian Army, airsofts are considered pressure weapons, and are expressly prohibited within the locations where Brasil FurFest takes place;

1.14.b – Replicas, simulacra or toy weapons that make up a character’s costume must be presented in advance to the staff at the time of accreditation for inspection and release.

1.14.c – Replicas or toy weapons are not permitted inside the conference rooms, corridors and lobby of the hotel.

1.15 – Scissors, needles, nails, pins and other sharp utensils are prohibited in the convention center lounge and in the hotel’s common areas, unless they are properly stored together with other materials for repairing fursuits and/or other clothing/accessories and are used solely for this purpose within the room reserved for fursuiters (Fursuit Lounge).

1.16 – Games involving simulated fights (including simulated fighting with swords and fake weapons) are not permitted within the areas where Brasil FurFest takes place.

1.17 – In case of any doubts regarding the rules established here, the attendee undertakes to clarify them with the Brasil FurFest staff in advance.

2. Dress code at times reserved for adults

2.1 – During activities aimed at adults on the fourth floor of the Sheraton Santos Hotel convention center, except the elevator hall, on July 27, 2025 between 0:00 and 3:00, the rules will be in force of clothing in chapter 2 of these Regulations.

2.1.a – For all hypotheses not provided for in this chapter 2, the provisions of Chapter 1 apply.

2.1.b – Outside the fourth floor of the Sheraton Santos Hotel convention center, including the elevators, the rules of Chapter 1 remain in force. attendees must have means of concealing clothing that does not comply with the rules of Chapter 1 outside the designated area.

2.2 – It remains mandatory to wear clothing that covers private parts and prevents them from being visible, as provided for in rule 1.2.

2.3 – To wear tight-fitting clothing (such as, but not limited to, zentals and latex jumpsuits), it is necessary to use a sex cover, “tucking” or other means to hide private parts.

2.3.a – The use of fetishistic costumes is permitted, as long as they do not violate the rules

2.3.b – The use of collars and harnesses combined with a leash, chain, rope or any other similar object used to restrict mobility is permitted, as long as they do not pose risks to those involved and/or impede the movement of other attendees through the event.

2.4 – Demonstrations of fetishistic practices must not, under any circumstances, involve explicit sexual practices or practices that pose risks to the attendees involved or third parties, under penalty of expulsion from the event.

2.5 – Any types of costumes, clothing and accessories that suggest, show or simulate, with designs or relief, private parts remain strictly prohibited.

2.5.a – Fursuit accessories such as sheaths are an exception to the above rule, as long as they can be removed and hidden for transport in the hotel’s common areas.

2.6 – Underwear cannot be worn in such a way that it is visible or partially visible, or even visible through the item of clothing, as per rule 1.9.

2.7 – It is permitted to display photos or any graphic material containing human or anthropomorphic pornography (yiff) in the areas provided for in rule 2.1, but such material must be hidden outside of such specific environments.

2.8 – Explicit sexual behavior (according to rule 2.4) or behavior that goes beyond the limit of public display of affection is prohibited.

2.9 – In case of any doubt about the regularity of a particular dress or fetishistic practice, the attendee undertakes to consult a staff member in advance for guidance.

REGULATIONS FOR HOSTING ROOM PARTIES AT SHERATON SANTOS HOTEL

Clause 1 – These Regulations provide for the rules to be followed by guests of the Sheraton Santos Hotel when carrying out social activities in the hotel rooms (“Room Parties”) during the Brasil FurFest 2025 event, held between July 25th and 27th, 2025.

1 – For the purposes of this Regulation, the people responsible for booking the hotel room are called “guests”.

Clause 2 – All guests who intend to host a get-together must be aware of the terms of this Regulation and sign the attached Term of Responsibility, under penalty of sanctions by the hotel security team and expulsion from the Brasil FurFest 2025 event.

Clause 3 – Attendees in the gatherings must be regularly registered as attendees in the Brasil FurFest 2025 event or as guests of the Sheraton Santos hotel.

1st – Verification of attendee or guest status will be checked by the security team using the identification bracelets delivered at the time of accreditation.

Clause 4 – The gatherings must end at 4 (four) o’clock in the morning, and may be resumed after the start of the regular activities of the Brasil FurFest event on the day, according to the official schedule.

1st – After the cut-off time, no person who is not a guest of the room is allowed to stay, under penalty of the crime of embezzlement due to an undue overnight stay.
2nd – If the security team finds non-compliance with the provisions of §1st, all attendees involved will be expelled from the event and the police authority will be contacted.

Clause 5 – Social gatherings must maintain an acceptable noise level, ensuring peace and quiet for other guests.

1st – After 22 (twenty-two) hours/10pm, the noise level cannot exceed the equivalent of a low conversation.
2nd – The sound noise level will be assessed from the corridor, at a distance of two steps from the bedroom entrance door.

Clause 6 – In case of noise above acceptable levels, the security team will take the following measures, in order:

1st – First warning: Front Desk telephone call requesting noise reduction.
2nd – Second warning: Visit from a member of the security team to request noise reduction in the location again.
3rd – Third warning: Visit from a member of the security team to definitively close the gathering, imposition of a fine in the amount of R$1,500.00 (one thousand and five hundred reais), and expulsion of all attendees involved from Brasil FurFest 2025.

Clause 7 – Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the contracted hotel room, even if it was caused by another attendee in the get-together.

Clause 8 – Guests must clarify any doubts arising from these Regulations with Brasil FurFest staff before the celebration takes place.
